Romeo is at the Capulet party. Tybalt over hears Romeo talking and recognizes his voice and knows who he is. Tybalt wants to kill Romeo but Capulet doesn’t want to start trouble or disturb his guests so Tybalt leaves him alone. Romeo sees Juliet and falls in love instantly.

Romeo says “Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear. So shows a snowy dove trooping with crows.”

Romeo approaches Juliet and asks to kiss. The pair kiss but Nurse interrupts them. Nurse takes Juliet to her mother and both Romeo and Juliet realize they are on opposite sides of the fighting families.
