Mercutio and Benvolio are in the streets of Verona talking about how hot it is and how Benvolio is looking for anything to fight. They talk about Tybalt challenging Romeo to a battle and then Tybalt shows up looking for Romeo. Romeo arrives and confuses Tybalt, he also refuses to fight.

Tybalt insults Romeo but Romeo doesn’t fight back. Mercutio gets angry because of Tybalt being rude to his friend. Tybalt and Mercutio fight but Romeo wants them to stop so he steps in. Tybalt takes the opportunity and stabs Mercutio. Mercutio is dying he says “A plague aboth your houses.” Mercutio dies and Romeo gets angry and avenges Mercutios death by killing Tybalt.

Benvolio shows up and tells Romeo to leave. Romeo runs away and hides while Benvolio talks to Prince, Capulets and Monatagues. They decide that it was fair, a life for a life but Romeo is to be banished.
