Act Two Scene Three

  1. Friar Lawrence is picking herbs early in the morning. Romeo approaches him. Friar Lawrence thinks that Romeo is either sick, been with Rosaline or hasn’t slept. Romeo explains that he has moved on from Rosaline and is. Ow in love with Juliet. Friar Lawrence lectures Romeo about moving on too fast. Romeo continues to tell Friar Lawrence that he loves Juliet and she loves him back. He tells him he wants to marry her tomorrow. Friar Lawrence accepts and warns Romeo “wisely and slow, they stumble that run fast”. This means that Romeo should take it slow because if he takes it fast he Will stumble.
