In the film Gattaca, Andrew Niccol creates the idea that you are an invalid and are disadvantaged if you are naturally born, also know as “faith birth”. Gattaca is futuristic film built of warning the unaware of the dangers of genetic selection. The name Gattaca is composed entirely of letters used to label the nucleotide bases of DNA. The four nitrogen bases of DNA are known as “GATA” or “CA” – therefore GATTACA.
